National Trails Day is Saturday, June 6th.  If you would like to be part of making a difference, come and be recognized nationally for the trail work we do during National Trails Day.  We will be picking up trash for those who would like to do that kind of work.  We will also be working on a specific trail project and trimming back brush.  For those who can't do manual labor we need campground hosts that will check people in and keep track of the hours and also assist in preparing the pitch-in.

This year the ITRA will be concentrating our efforts on completing Trail 7.  We will have help in the form of the Eagle Scouts who will coordinate the work project.  ITRA will be providing the machinery and hand tools.  Having the Boy Scouts help is a wonderful addition to our project and will allow us to teach these young men how to build trails for future preservation for all of us.  Check in will be at the small shelter house just inside the entry gatehouse.  Start time: 9:00am.  Please make sure when you are finished working that you turn in your time as well.  We will also be picking up trash on the trails and our “Adopt a Road Project” for the 2 mile stretch will be spearheaded by Chris Eickleberry once a ...
